I really like helping clients out when they are having anxiety and or panic attacks. I have a unique approach, that I learned from having a panic attack myself, how scary it was and then applying my knowledge, and asking myself a question, how do I never have another panic attack ever again? The clients goal is typically to reduce their panic attacks, and I can show them how to arrest it, and to not have one, ever again.
I have an ability to put people at ease and make them feel safe, which helps them open up and talk about their issues. I also like to use humor in my approach, I like to have fun, talk about things clients sometimes don't get to talk about. I really like getting to know clients and helping them understand themselves.
Helping clients do the real work is what I like the most. I have a couple sayings I use with anxiety. The first is "your anxiety is lying to you", and the second is "85% of the stuff we worry about will never come true", that's a lot of wasted anxiety in my opinion.
