Faced with the choice between expression or suppression, men often suffer alone, because they are frequently taught to hide their vulnerabilities, even from themselves. I help men suffering from anxiety, depression, and isolation that stems from emotional suppression, a lack of assertiveness and empowerment, from religious trauma, wounding in relationships, and codependency. I emphasize self-compassion and create a space for men to gain confidence to freely express themselves in therapy, be heard without judgment, and find ways to express themselves in their lives.
I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address negative self-talk and limiting beliefs, Psychodynamic Therapy to address inner conflicts, Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to deepen emotional health, and Wellness Counseling to empower my clients for continued growth throughout their lives.
