Hello, I am Darlene A Dennis a licensed clinical social worker with experinece in hospice, home health, oncology social work and behavioral/mental health. My motto is, "You are unique, your therapy should be too." Everyone is different in so many ways and cookie-cutter therapy/counseling will never do. I create an environment for open discussion and sharing from the heart. I believe that solutions to one's problems, concerns, "hurts, habits, and hangups" are often hidden within. An effective therapist will collaborate with the client in uncovering what is often innate discoveries and solutions to problems.
I approach goal setting by exploring a client's strengths and weaknesses, then setting realistic short-term goals. The act of completing a short-term goal is what can catapult a client into reaching higher and striving harder knowing they can accomplish the goals set before them.
