Hello! My name is Darcy Jackson. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed professional clinical counselor. My approach to therapy is built on a foundation of compassion, humor, and a willingness to challenge and support my clients as they embark on their healing journey. I create a warm and friendly environment. My tone will fluctuate through our time together, to fit the need of the session. I believe in a level of transparency and humor. In addition, I will challenge when appropriate which may be in a direct manner.
Goal setting is a unique and collaborative approach individual for each client. It is imperative that you have buy-in to the goal, and believe that the goal is tangible and achievable.
During our first session, you can expect to spend a good deal of time discussing what brought you to therapy and me asking questions to better understand you as a whole person. The goal is to build rapport and trust and become comfortable with one another.
