In my psychotherapy work I utilize a mind body integrative approach combined with a traditional academic training in Clinical Social Work, Systemic Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I received my MSSW from Columbia University School of Social Work and completed a clinical internship in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. I have been a psychotherapist in private practice since 1998. I believe that the best thing that I can offer to my clients is the hope and belief that their problems can be solved and the techniques to do it.
I have experience in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, social phobia, developmental disorders, learning disorders, ADD, and academic underachievement. I also enjoy working with adolescents, adults and couples to help solve relationship problems.
I have training and a practice in yoga and mindfulness meditation. I have training in alternative healing methods such as guided imagery, healing hands therapy and intensive integrative therapy groups.
