Sometimes we have thoughts, feelings or experienced things that we don't know how to handle, or where to even start. This feeling is more common than most of us think and has been my drive into becoming a helping professional. I earned my bachelor's in Psychology and minored in Criminal Justice from Caldwell University. I then went on to earn my Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgian Court University. I have experience working in a partial care setting for individuals with persistent mental health and co-occurring disorders, in which I ran various groups and met with individual clients.
In addition, I also have experience working in residential facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders. In this setting, I worked alongside a treatment team creating and implementing treatment goals/plans.
As a licensed counselor, I maintain a nonjudgmental understanding of individual beliefs, values, thought processes, and experiences, which in turn, allows the counseling experience to be a safe space. There is no one counseling approach that is a catchall.
