Hey there! My name is Danielle Russo-Gonzalez and I am glad you are here. I received my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018 and have been working with children and families in private practice ever since. I began my journey in Tuscaloosa before making my way to Hoover to develop a Mental Health department in a multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy clinic. In my time there I collaborated with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Physical Therapists to provide more holistic care to clients and now I hope to bring this unique experience to my clients.
In working with kids, I tend to lean into a child-centered approach. I believe that play is a child's language and toys are their words. I also pull from Solution Focused, Narrative, and CBT approaches when working with older kids and adults. While I specialize in working with children, I also have a wide range of experience treating adult clients.
