Leaving a toxic relationship is very, very difficult. Manipulation, gaslighting, coercion, shame, self-doubt and sense of a lost self can keep you trapped in the abuse. In these types of romantic and familial relationships, people are left feeling confused and selfish for having their own needs and convinced that they must make the other person happy at all costs. Even when people want to leave, the trauma bond ignites regions of the brain that cause you to feel out of control and "tied" to the relationship. Disengaging from this type of emotional tyranny is possible but requires a deep internal rewiring and grieving.
I am passionate in my work with relational trauma and restoring self-trust, autonomy and helping my clients find their authentic self. In addition, I am highly passionate about my work with adult children of emotionally immature parents, the Highly Sensitive Person, and people who feel afraid of making necessary changes in their lives despite being unhappy.
My ultimate goal is to support your authentic seIf. Using a holistic path, I incorporate a trauma informed, mindfulness approach to wellness. I believe the reason we develop symptoms is because we have ignored our true selves too long. From this angle, symptoms are merely messengers intended by our soul to guide our self-actualization. Let's work together!
