I enjoy working with individuals who are struggling to overcome obstacles and cope with triggers which may impede their ability to fully engage with life in a wholesome way. Maybe conflict is getting in the way of having fulfilling relationships. Maybe life's stressors are overwhelming the senses or triggering painful emotions. Maybe coping skills are limited and resilience feels unattainable. Goals of therapy can include identifying and coping with, in a safe and healthy way, those obstacles that are keeping a person stuck, as a start.
As a clinician with over 15 years of experience working in hospital, crisis, trauma, and forensic settings I provide resilience and trauma informed therapy. I have specialized training in advanced trauma treatment and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprossessing (EMDR). I also employ Cognative Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with my clients.
