Hello, my name is Danielle. The first thing I want you to know about myself is as a counselor I am passionate about working with children and adolescents. Because of this passion, my counseling journey has led me to be certified and trained to work specifically with children and adolescents. I have often imagined how difficult it must be for parents to see their children struggling. While working with your child, I will consult the parents and build a relationship that leads to us working together towards your child's mental health.
I have experience working with developmental disabilities, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral related concerns, and more. I use an integrated approach including Animal Assisted Play Therapy, play therapy, EMDR, CBT, trauma-focused interventions, and more. I am a member of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Association for Play Therapy.
It would be an honor to help your child reach their goals. I will do everything I can to help guide your child towards healing and feeling better. My goal is to build a safe space for your child. I will take the time to build trust and a relationship with your child.
