Do you have a hard time fully feeling your emotions? Does it feel expectations that you “Should” be doing things a certain way? Are the stressors of life starting to get overwhelming? I utilize mindfulness, connection with the body, and education on mental health symptomatology to help cope with the stressors of life. Additionally, mental health must also address and acknowledge systemic barriers and injustices, which also impact a person’s wellness. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, religious trauma and general trauma.
I am a compassionate, person-centered therapist specializing in religious trauma, anxiety, addressing the impact that institutionalized systems have on a person, and general trauma. I strive to be anti-oppressive in my practice while acknowledging and honoring the intersectional identities of others. Trauma-informed care guides my therapeutic orientation!
