I provide therapy from the perspective that an understanding, trusting, and genuine relationship between myself and my clients is the necessary foundation for helping them to create change in their lives. I think everyone, myself included, can relate to hiding parts of ourselves out of fear of being judged– whether it’s our feelings, desires, or the qualities that make us unique. Those fears and self-judgments can then add another difficult dimension to our experience.
What gives us the freedom to explore those parts of ourselves in-depth and work with them is when we can trust that we will be received with care and understanding. As a therapist I work to understand your life from your perspective– your experiences, values, and how you see the world around you in order to help support you as you confront life's challenges.
I have experience working with clients on issues related to self-esteem and identity, adjusting to difficult life changes, and issues within friendships and relationships. As a queer, nonbinary therapist, I also value working with LGBTQ+ clients, people questioning their gender identity, and people in open relationships and non-traditional relationships.
