Welcome, finding a good fit with your potential therapist is key! I am a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience. I see both individuals and couples. I believe that all people share common struggles and that during challenging times can benefit from the opportunity to talk freely without the fear of being judged. We will identify self-defeating patterns linked to depression, anxiety, dissatisfying relationships, and substance abuse as a first step. Finding alternatives which leads to living more fulfilling lives is the goal. I am also a consultant with expertise in healthy tech use across developmental phases.
I have expertise in treating perinatal/postpartum complications (moms AND dads), parenting issues and couples therapy. I provide consultation regarding healthy technology use. My internship at the Manhattan VA was excellent training. I worked with patients who suffered from PTSD, substance abuse, and severe depression and anxiety.
My orientation is psychodynamic and interpersonal, but I am flexible and tailor my approach to the needs of my clients. This may entail incorporating skills training and CBT. Building a trusting relationship and working collaboratively are key components to success in treatment. I am a consultant regarding tech use for neurodivergent and neurotypical-minds.
