Seeking out help can be hard. But it’s a brave first step in working with issues that hold us back on our journey of healing and self discovery. I work with clients that find themselves feeling stuck or dissatisfied in various aspects of their lives, be it relationships, family dynamics, or careers. I also specialize in adolescents (and their families) who struggle with self worth and discovering who they are in the midst of a challenging stage of life. I believe in the importance of understanding how our past experiences and family dynamics shape who we are as unique individuals.
I work with clients to create a safe space where we talk about the multitudes of their emotional lives and take stock of what’s working and what’s not working. My approach is gentle and understanding, but also direct. I draw from my training in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy, amongst others.
I believe that each person that walks through my door is unique and will be treated and honored as such. My practice is a safe space for people of all backgrounds, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
