I am a Social Worker Associate Advanced License LSWAA/MSW and I am licensed to work with individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in working with clients who experience confusion regarding behavioral patterns and unconscious beliefs that undermine their well-being. It is my goal to bring a conscious awareness of these beliefs and their origin. Many of my clients struggle with shame and ambivalence, which can make them to feel trapped.
My theoretical orientation is client-centered, psychodynamic, strength-based, systemic, and rooted in cultural humility. I take an integrative approach and work to provide each client with tailored interventions to honor their voice and preferences.
We all have impulses that can elicit anger, sadness, disappointment, fear, or shame. It is common to believe that these emotions can control us. We can want to avoid them.
