Those challenged by substance use disorder and mental illness, like every other human being on earth, are shaped by the reality they live in and the parameters of that in which they were raised. Treatment, then, must be truly individual or else it is meaningless to the individual seeking it.
I do not know what is best for you. I would, though, honor the opportunity to explore with you the untold ways in which your story could unfold. My work of the last five years in the substance use disorder treatment field has informed the person-centered, strengths-based and liberational framework from which I approach my work with people.
