I was born in NY City and grew up in Santa Fe, NM. My mother was a family therapist for 30 years for the state of New Mexico and I decided to follow in her footsteps. My first job as a mental health counselor was at the Denver Children's Home where I learned how to set consistent limits and boundaries, as well as offer empathy and structure to children struggling with depression, anxiety, and ADD. I earned my MSW at DU in 1999 and worked at the Denver VA Medical Center for 18 years, where I learned and practiced CBT, CPT, PE, and MI.
I left the VA in 2017 and worked at All Health Network with community mental health and learned and practiced EMDR. I have been working at LifeStance for the past 4 years and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families utilizing range of evidence based treatments, including EMDR, CBT, and Prolonged Exposure and other avoidance-reduction strategies.
