I see individuals that desire and are willing to work at creating better relationships and lives. Sometimes we may feel stuck; unable to control our emotions and thought processes. I bring hope and tools to help provide healing and growth. We get a clear picture and understanding of what we want the outcome of therapy to be. We come up with priorities to work on and then experience interventions that create awareness, understanding, skills, hope and motivation to do what works! We then do our homework. We continue in this process, making any adjustments, till we achieve our "healthier life"!
I particularly work with people that are depressed or anxious and have lost hope; desperately seeking answers and peace. Many of these extreme emotions are interrelated to either current or past family relationships. I specialize in family relationships, grief counseling, and personally managing our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My approach is holistic tailored to the uniqueness of each client. Emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs are addressed. Creating a warm, safe, nonjudgmental environment is a high priority. A few of the tools I use include visualization, physical movement and redirecting self-talk to help manage and create emotions and behavior.
