I am passionate about helping others. This passion led to years of study and becoming skilled in several effective forms of treatment. I enjoy working with people to create a shared vision and plan to achieve the changes they seek. I am committed to serving those I work with and to that end I believe in providing all of the information needed to make an informed decision about our approach. I endeavor to create an environment of safety and sincerity and to aid in developing increased self-acceptance and compassion.
In addition to general mental health treatment, I have specialized knowledge and skill in the area of trauma/PTSD assessment and treatment. For several years I have regularly provided EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I also speak Spanish fluently and have advanced training in culturally competent treatment for Latinos.
