I believe that everyone is capable of change, and I would love to support you throughout the process.

I have been a counselor for seven years. My approach is heavily influenced by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as I believe that the way we think about ourselves and the problems we are confronted with plays a big role in our outcomes. I am also trained in EMDR and recognize the ways that past traumas influence current circumstances.

It can be hard to ask for help, so I approach all client relationships with empathy and respect. I prioritize collaboration with clients, so you will always be fully involved in the trajectory of your treatment. People are their own best experts, and by learning about you and your story, I can make sure I am always providing the best support possible.

As a new client, the first thing I will do is use CBT to identify how you are thinking about your problem and approaching it. This will inform what the next steps are. For example, if there is trauma that is blocking growth, EMDR could help you process it; If you are experiencing something like addiction or anxiety, I would use mindfulness based CBT and/or ACT to help you create better outcomes.
