Cynthia Holloway Independent Marriage and Family Therapist Hello, I’m Cindy I’m a master’s prepared Independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I look forward to helping individuals as they work to heal and develop skills that will help them help themselves. Currently, my practice consists of individual adults. Often, these folks are navigating a significant life transition and / or working through trauma from the past that seems to interfere with current life experiences and well-being. Disorders these individuals bring with them include depression, anxiety, various identity issues, and post-traumatic stress.
I like to meet people where they are with regard to the symptoms and issues they bring to therapy. I am partial to Rogerian theories and the need to provide impartiality and positive regard for others. My foundation includes thinking in terms of systems, especially family systems, and how those systems may influence us.
I have been told by past clients that they feel like they can say what they need to say in session without the fear of being judged. I encourage the client’s empowerment where I can. I believe change can be difficult but not impossible.
