Since I was first licensed in 1991, I have worked with a wide range of clients, in a variety of setting. My passion is helping people overcome trauma. I specialize in working with children who have experienced sexual abuse. I work with children as young as 3, through adulthood. I believe we all have the capacity to overcome and grow, given the opportunity and resources to do so.
I am a client-centered therapist, grounded in developmental theory. I am a registered play therapist and supervisor, and use a variety of creative interventions to allow clients a way to express themselves when they may not be able to find the words. I use a variety of techniques including EMDR, MI, DBT, TFCBT, art, sandtray therapy, and family therapy.
I believe in the power of therapy and the capacity of each of us to heal, given the opportunity. I see my role as a partner in this journey and am honored each time I am entrusted with this responsibility.
