I have practiced as an LCSW since about 1996 and have worked with a variety of issues that people face. Facing these issues and dealing with life can be difficult at times. I have worked for more than 27 years as a therapist, enjoying the interactions with my clients, helping them individually and as families to manage their struggles. I wouldn't say that the clients I work with are the same as other people but that they have an unique constellations of problems. There are often generational, or cultural issues that need to be taken into account. They are individuals that know their solutions will come from their own efforts.
My clients seem to appreciate my approach and often have reached out to me after seeing me in other settings. I have a down to earth, direct approach and I try to be very authentic and transparent. I found that a direct approach is often best, especially using evidence-based methods that help individuals or families to excel and exceed their expectations.
I have found that most people have the capability of managing their issues with a little help. By focusing on the issues, and discussing strategies and tactics to deal with them, answers can be found and implemented. I can meet in Farmington, Downtown Salt Lake City or Sandy, if these would be better fits for you.
