Hello and welcome! Joselyn has experience working with individuals seeking support for various reasons. She has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, autism, parenting stress, relationship distress, and everyday stress. Joselyn also has experience working with individuals who identify as being part of the LGBTQAI+ community. Joselyn believes in working to find the strengths that each individual or family has to create meaningful change in their lives. She believes that even the smallest change can have positive effects.

I have multiple speciality areas including, abuse, addiction, codependency, trauma, behavioral need and co-occurring disorders. I utilize treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused, solution focused brief therapy, DBT and motivational interviewing. In addition, I have also trained as a circle of security facilitator in both Spanish and English. My ideal client is one who is seeking greater happiness and fulfillment in life. This person is dissatisfied, stuck, insecure, afraid, stressed or tired. The client has the answers within but has difficulty accessing them. I am here to help with that process. Depression, grief and/or anxiety are usually present in clients who struggle to "fit" into life. My job is to guide the client in making necessary changes they desire. I want to empower the individual vs. telling them what to do. Often trauma, intergenerational issues, addictions, abandonment/loss are part of the problem I need to address.

I have over 10 years’ experience working with adults and adolescents, within a variety of settings, including in-home, telehealth, and outpatient clinics, with my focus being on treating co-occurring disorders, substance and alcohol use disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, personality disorders, trauma, grief and loss.

I have over 18 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families. I specialize in the assessment and treatment of Substance Abuse Disorders, Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, ADHD, Behavoiral difficulties and emotional regulation. I am trained in a variety of different models including CBT/EMDR/DBT /CPT Person Centered Approaches, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Tf-CBT.

I have over 12 years of clinical experience, which has been in both outpatient and in home settings working with a wide range of clients in the greater Waterbury area. I have experience with children, adolescents and adults of all ages, who present with a variety of mental health disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Conduct Disorders, Substance Use and Co-occuring Disorders. I have also worked with children and adults involved in the court system and have experience working with families who have DCF involvement.

I use a systemic model of treatment designed to meet a client's specific goals to improve his or her quality of life by fostering change using internal and external resources. I provide therapy for most mental health related problems including depression and anxiety, grief and loss, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, addictions, family and relationship, divorce, anger management, parenting, blended family, child and adolescent issues, trauma and abuse. My hours are flexible and include evenings and Saturdays.
