I'm passionate about working with couples. More than ever, relationship stressors and everyday issues can undermine connection, and result in couples feeling frustrated, stuck, confused and alone. Working together, we'll uncover and transform these negative cycles of interaction into positive experiences, where collaboration about differences, intimacy and joy are possible.

I work with clients on changing their conversation by helping them learn new tools together, healing old wounds, and supporting them in working towards the relationship they once dreamt of having.
You had amazing plans for your relationship and wanted to go through life knowing that the two of you were a team. Fast forward through all the things since then -life, work, family, kids, stress, money. It’s all happened. And you kept trying to make things better until one day you realized it just wasn’t working. Ignoring the issues weren’t helping, fighting about the issues weren’t solving anything, and the date nights felt so forced that you’d honestly rather just be at home in your Pjs. You’re not ready to give up but you aren’t sure what, if anything at this point, can help.

We all get stuck at times. Reaching out for help can be the first step towards positive change. Recognizing dissatisfaction with an aspect of your life, or that solutions you've tried are not working, creates opportunity to allow in other perspectives. Problems can feel immense, and grow in isolation; conversely, talking with a therapist can shed light, open up unseen possibilities and diminish problems. Whether you're struggling with relationship or work struggles, identity issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, or other life issues, therapy can help you build more meaning, balance, and ability to handle life's challenges.

My practice is rooted in honest connection and a safe therapeutic relationship.
In an ever-changing world, we need mental health care that doesn’t offer a false promise of a quick fix. It is difficult to pick up the phone to call a therapist — especially if you’ve never been to therapy before, or if you’re depressed, and you just ... can’t. I understand that and am here to walk you through. I believe that taking care of our mental health should be an ongoing and sustained practice that is celebrated instead of stigmatized. Instead of viewing therapy as only necessary when you are in a crisis, my hope is to break the mold and remind you that you deserve mental health support.

Social anxiety, self-esteem, depression, relationship problems, sexual struggles and identity issues and online issues are an interest.
For me, being a therapist is a privilege. I like to work with anyone eager to understand what is happening to them in their life. Together, we'll try to understand the factors that are creating the trouble - including some of the unconscious ones - and then we'll put them in perspective, cut them down to size, and talk about what can be done. I create a safe, intelligent, and empathic environment for counseling where we can talk about anything without judgment. My office is a safe place to be yourself. So many of our problems have their root in isolation and anxiety, and that is something we can address together.

My goal is to provide a safe place to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship that will enable careful exploration of any issue you may struggling with.
I believe we are almost always doing the best we can with what we know based on our own life’s experiences. I’m here to help you gain a better understanding of how your life experiences have influenced or shaped your narrative of self, your relationships with others as well as how you navigate difficulty or suffering in your life. My hope is that in being met with compassion and curiosity in the room you can feel more comfortable to meet yourself where you are at while working towards being where you would like to be.

I work closely with clients, giving pragmatic advice designed to address issues, such as relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, trauma and chronic illness.
I believe that good therapy occurs through building a trusting and collaborative relationship together, where you feel supported, goal directed and empowered. In therapy, we become partners in a process of understanding your strengths as you develop the insight necessary to facilitate the changes you aspire toward. Therapy, at it’s best, serves as a fundamental step toward improving relationships, reducing anxiety and tending to other issues which may prevent you from engaging in life; with purpose and authenticity; with joy; with genuine wellbeing.

Clients come to me with many different issues: from parenting to personal and from relationships to reentering the work force. You may be experiencing concerns in these facets of your life or you may be struggling with the particular demands of your own life. But the foundation of my practice is that you can most effectively face and overcome your challenges in a nonjudgmental environment where you can build a trusting and respectful relationship with your therapist. By building that connection, you can begin reconnecting with those you love and moving your own life forward.

While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
