I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood/thought disorders, substance abuse, and other stressors in their daily living. I strive to facilitate a positive therapeutic relationship with clients and focus on a strength-based approach to facilitate growth and self-efficacy in coping with their unique daily lives.
When working with clients, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I have a background treating adults, adolescents, and family's in the areas of adjustment issues, trauma, major life changes, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse. I have many years of experience advocating for and working with the LGBTQ+ population and acknowledges their unique struggles and experiences.
