My name is Cristina Mendoza, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am based in Fresno, California, and am available to work with clients in person and via telehealth. I work with adults who are struggling with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, or adjustment issues using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Therapy is a very personal process so I want to be sure to utilize approaches that will best suit each individual client and their needs.
I typically work with adults who are navigating issues resulting from trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and adjustment to life changes. I work with the client to build skills and confidence so that they not only work on the issues that they bring to session but will also be better equipped to manage future problems as well.
I have always loved helping others and was the one that friends often came to for insight and support. That coupled with my love of psychology seemed to make the choice to become a therapist an easy one. I enjoy this work and love seeing the growth in my clients.
