Creative Arts Therapy of Rockland is a special place for children and teens in need of therapy. We work with people of all ages, helping them to build confidence, problem-solve, improve communication, and manage behaviors. Our psychotherapists use talk and art therapy to engage clients to work through anxiety, depression, grief, career changes, and peer relationships. There is no skill or talent required for art therapy and expression can come in unique ways.
Most trauma is experienced on multiple sensory levels. It is both physical and visual. Using a therapy that accesses a sensory experience can help heal a trauma on that level. Art and Music therapy are visceral processes, going beyond words and thoughts.
