I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment and Polyvagal theories, somatic and mindfulness-based practices, and EMDR.
I believe you are the expert on whatever it is you’re going through. You know best what you need, even if it feels unclear right now. I will work with you at your pace, wherever you may be at this moment, to help you feel supported, empowered, and at peace as you move toward your goals. With a foundation of trust and mutual respect, we will create a treatment plan that honors who you are, what you value, and where you want to be.

I believe pleasure and intimacy are key components to realizing your own worth. Whether you are looking to connect more deeply to yourself, a partner, or a community, I am here to reflect your own capacity for joy and fulfillment back to you. Therapy is about connection, and I bring my openness, curiosity, and sense of humor into my sessions. I use a blend of techniques from emotionally-focused therapy, somatic psychotherapy, sex therapy, and yoga to work with both individuals and partners.

I draw on evidence-based therapy approaches, specifically, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as somatic and mindfulness-based therapy.
I have experience supporting clients through various challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions. With a particular interest in clients who are neurodivergent, whether you have ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other conditions, I recognize that your experiences are beautifully unique. I offer a safe and inclusive environment where you can explore your strengths, embrace your differences, and develop strategies to navigate the challenges that may arise. Another area of interest for me is working with Spiritual/Religious concerns especially religious trauma.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. I have also completed three years of training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) which is a body-awareness approach to trauma. Dr. Peter Levine realized that human beings have an innate ability to overcome the effects of trauma. SE supports our bodies to access our body's innate wisdom and apply it to healing and resolving the effects of trauma. What I love most about my work is being allowed on the journey with individuals and families as they grow and heal emotionally and spiritually.

Does your daily life leave you in a state of constant analysis paralysis, exhaustion, or fight-or-flightiness? Craving freedom from anxiety, overthinking, and a constant stream of inner criticism? As a fellow recovering perfectionist, I got you. I help neurodivergent women and members of the LGBTQ+ community heal the root cause of their anxiety, exhaustion, and burnout using a combination of somatic modalities, IFS, and psychodynamic therapies. I believe in therapy that helps you regulate your nervous system, understand the root cause of patterns that aren’t serving you, and focuses on making your life better. Like right now.

I utilize a combination of modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Embodied Recovery Model for Eating Disorders (ERED), Polyvagal Theory, and various somatic interventions.
I work with adults and adolescents who are navigating eating disorders, self-esteem challenges, and embodiment issues. Our world often disconnects us from our bodies, making it hard to feel safe and present. As your therapist, my goal is to help you reconnect with your body, cope with challenges, be present in your relationships, and practice meaningful self-care and advocacy.

As a yoga teacher, I often incorporate mindfulness and somatic techniques into therapy sessions.
The process of looking for a new therapist can feel intimidating for the most seasoned therapy-goer. It takes courage to even think about opening up about your personal challenges, hopes, and desires. Maybe you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, or depression that’s making it hard for you to fully engage in life. Maybe painful experiences you’ve had left you feeling stuck in the past and disconnected from your present and future. Or maybe you are feeling as though you’ve hit a wall or reached a plateau with yourself or others. I offer a safe and inclusive space to share, process, heal, and expand on your strengths.

It is a privilege to be alongside you on your healing journey with experiential and somatic approaches.
You notice yourself trying to manage heightened anxiety or panic associated with uncertainty. Changes in your environment, social interactions, and other people’s moods feel overwhelming. You tune in quickly to other people's needs while navigating the experience of feeling sensitive, shy, or struggling with self-esteem. When too much is going on at once you recharge by withdrawing to a quiet place to have a sense of relief. You may identify as a highly creative and innovative person wondering, “How can I get above my self-doubt?”

I offer trauma informed models including EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, and somatic techniques.
I specialize in wholistic trauma therapy for adults who want to understand and resolve the ways their past is affecting their current relationships, jobs, and life roles. On the surface, you might be holding it all together. And at the heart of it, you're stuck - not feeling like your true self. Anger, depression, anxiety, difficulty focusing, overwhelm, and/or drugs or alcohol abuse might be more a part of your life than you’d like. This is not how you imagined it. You want, you NEED, to find your way back again.

I blend somatic and cognitive approaches using my training in NARM, attachment theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Brainspotting to help you have more ease in your body and in your life.
Like you, my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, afraid, and stuck. You may feel frustrated that you have already had therapy and done a lot of work, yet find yourself in the same patterns that you want to move beyond. You may feel unfulfilled in your relationships and wonder if things can get better. You might even notice a pattern or theme in your relationships that you need to make sense of. You may struggle with a harsh inner critic and have a difficult time building a positive relationship with yourself. You might feel hopeless because you have felt this way for a long time with little relief.

I Integrate evidenced based therapy, somatic & mindfulness approaches to assist with soothing the nervous system & establishing safety in the body.
Trauma and challenges are something we have all faced at some point in our lives. Everyone tells you to go to therapy and heal but sometimes " healing" doesn't feel all that easy. Sometimes you have no idea where to start but know you need to. Sometimes it feels like falling backwards when you’re trying to move forward. Sometimes it feels like needing support but not knowing how to ask for it. Have these thoughts crossed your mind? I know they have crossed mine. You deserve the peace of mind you are seeking. Are you ready to take that step today?

Somatic Therapists

How does somatic therapy work?

Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?

Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?

Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
