I work with a wide variety of young children, adolescents, and families who are in need of support due to behavioral concerns, social skills deficits, anxiety symptomology, attention deficits, autism spectrum disorder, adjustment to divorce, and parent training. I practices from a collaborative approach, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships with both the child and family to generalize skills outside of the therapeutic environment. Further, I work diligently with schools, physicians and other members of the child’s community to provide consistency of support to the child and family.
I have both my LCPC and BCBA allowing me a unique lens of utilizing both the behavioral and mental health perspective. This allows me to integrate the study of human behavior into my counseling practice. Specifically, I understand how the principles of behavior can increase and decrease target behaviors. This allows me to help my clients reach their goals.
I believe in creating a nursing, caring, and supportive environment for children and their families. I believe it is critical to meet the child and family where they are in the therapeutic process while working together to increase their quality of life.
