I strive to provide a safe space to support you in overcoming your struggles.
I have worked with young adults to those late in adulthood struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma and adjustment issues. I engage in ongoing education to learn and improve my current skill set. My primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Person Centered Therapy.
I have been practicing in the field of Social Work for over twelve years. I obtained my Masters of Social Work from East Carolina University with a concentration in Substance Use Disorders. My goal in a therapy session is to meet you where you are, to focus on the here and now to be positive and empathetic.
