My goal as an Art Therapist is to promote realistic expectations for healing and to provide you with a genuine atmosphere to feel supported and accepted. I believe the therapeutic relationship and bond is essential to your growth and I always strive to make the client feel comfortable and safe. I specialize in working with children ages 4-18 and am open to working with adults. I have experience working with mental health disorders, behavioral challenges, grief/loss, adoption/foster-care, and trauma.
I use the creative process of art-making as a non-verbal outlet for those who struggle to identify their thoughts and feelings verbally. I provide a person-centered approach and see the value in creating artwork as a cathartic and sensory release. Art is a valuable tool and can be used as a visual language through your healing journey.
I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and provide strength-based solutions in my practice. I treat the individual as a whole and meet you where you are at. Therapy should be your safe place to heal and grow into your authentic self and I would love to help guide you along the way.
