Not many of us grew up in households that prioritized mental health. I'm proud of you for making the first step in your journey! Finding the right therapist is critical to the success of the work you'll do together. My name is Courtney A. Shaw, MA. I'm an Atlanta native and a Masters Level Counselor who sees clients ranging from age 5 into adulthood. I'm passionate about working with people who struggle with mood disorders (i.e forms of anxiety, depression, etc), maintaining healthy relationships, and difficulty adjusting to changes. Whether you struggle with any of those things, or simply want someone to talk to, I'm here for you.
We often feel pressure to be "strong", and to handle problems on our own. I challenge that idea by simply asking, "Why?" Connection is a pillar of human existence. Why should you endure hardships on your own when there are communities of people who want to support you? The answer is... you shouldn't! You deserve support and I'm here to provide it to you.
