All sessions will be a video call. My goal is to help my clients restore balance and/or overcome obstacles in their life. I have over 15 years of clinical experience. The issues I work most often with are depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, communication skills and relationship problems, trauma and PTSD. I strive to work with a client and be flexible with my approaches. I encourage feedback and value the opinion of my clients. The same approach doesn't work for everyone because people have different preferences and personalities. I pride myself in the quality of care that I provide and hold myself to the highest standards.

We walk alongside clients to bring a wholeness to self through individual counseling, family and relationship counseling, life coaching, and consulting.
We affirm you for these first steps! Life can be tough at times, and it can lead us down paths that leave us feeling hopeless. Many think that what you’re going through is your fault, some think you can change it on your own, many of you have tried many times to find answers. Addiction, Trauma, and Family Conflict weighs us down in life and leaves us thinking there is no hope. How do we know? We have been there. One thing we believe is people can heal! What if you could redefine, refocus, revive, even recreate the life you deserve? At Redefine Life, this is exactly what we do. We help you become the best version of you!

We work with the entire lifespan (3yo+), couples, individuals, and families.
Through education and experience, our clinicians know that clients are doing the best they can at all times. Life can be so difficult, and we as humans are tasked with the complex job of navigating those difficulties. Our clinicians utilize a trauma-informed and multi-dimensional approach to help clients understand themselves, others, and their place in the world. However, when working with anyone, our goal is to give you tools, skills, and support to help clients navigate the world outside of therapy. You deserve to feel safe, heard, seen, and understood.

With compassion and curiosity, I work with individual adults, couples, and groups to build a sense of health and safety.
Life can be lonely and challenging at times. You may feel numb, isolated, empty, misunderstood, or perhaps even guilty for not “getting over it.” No matter where you’re at in life, I am here to help you! Through a collaborative approach, we can build a safe partnership, where you will find your own courage and make the changes you're looking for and cultivate deep and meaningful relationships. I believe our past experiences influence our current and future expectations, which means it's important to understand where your struggles started.

Humor has long been considered an essential element of healing. I place great value on the coupling of feelings. The deep coexisting alongside the light. Our stories are equally diverse and important, but the therapeutic relationship doesn't have to feel frigid. On the contrary, warmth signals affirmation and perhaps a kind of acceptance we have reasoned to be unattainable. I consider building rapport to be the first step in laying the foundation of our safe space. Every single person, regardless of background, beliefs, persuasions, affiliations, or afflictions, deserves to feel validated and worthy. You are not alone.

I am an expert in helping individuals and couples going through life transitions.
Are you having difficulty feeling heard, understood or respected in your relationship? You are successful, and thrive in other areas of your life, but feel at a loss in your own marriage. Perhaps you do not even feel like a priority. The once safe place of the couple has turned into another place of stress and conflict. Or perhaps you are a woman going through a major life transition and feel completely alone and misunderstood. In either case, you are ready to see a shift in your life. You are ready for a change and to feel heard, connected, and empowered again. Most of all, you want to be YOU again! I can help you get there.

Adjusting to raising a teenager is incredibly difficult. The relationship often changes from one of closeness to one where you no longer recognize who they are. The tension, the disrespect, the shutting out, the anxiety, the depression can contribute to an immense amount of stress for a family. Books have been read and methods have been tried, but nothing seems to work. You want your family to be close again, but don't know how.

These approaches strive to build awareness of the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!! I have expertise in helping children, adolescents and adults recover from traumatic experiences/events in their lives. In order that we strive and move forward despite whatever obstacles we might face in life, we must instill the concept of RESILIENCY in our children, adolescents and adults. Resiliency teaches us to continue to move forward despite the obstacles we face. In order that we achieve our goal of promoting resiliency and community within the family, we found it most effective to provide a service that would make a difference not only in the homes of those we serve, but also in our communities.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
