I offer weekly sessions for individuals and couples, and limited family therapy.
Your future is fluid and full of possibilities, no matter how worried, stuck, or sad you may feel right now. Everyone faces challenges that feel beyond them. We all feel lost and alone when life threatens to overwhelm us. But we also have innate strengths and unexplored potential. Whether you are looking for relief, insight, support, or a solution to a specific problem, I will work with you to clarify your needs and discover root causes and unconscious associations that create unhelpful thoughts and emotions, stagnant ways of being, and old narratives and pain that keep you from the life you want to live.

I am a therapist who works with couples and individual adults using several different modalities depending on what is needed for each individual client or couple.
There are times in life when something is bothering us and we can’t understand why we are perpetually distressed by this situation or event. Why do we keep going over and over the problem only to come to the same conclusion and, yet, still feel unfulfilled? What’s wrong? It helps to share these complex thoughts and feelings with others who can help give new perspective and create meaning where there seems to be none.

I enjoy working with Teens and Adults dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, school or work issues, and couples or family conflict.
I believe therapy is the process of making one's life more satisfying... whether that's by making minor "tweaks," or major overhauls- the intention is to help you find your unique strengths and gifts, decide what it is you believe needs to change, and empower you to take those steps forward! I believe that the job of a therapist is to support, and encourage, to listen and acknowledge, and to challenge our clients to see themselves in new ways. I approach therapy using a variety of techniques all intended to help clients develop insight into their own feelings and motivations, and to take the hard steps to achieve new growth!

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
