Therapy is all about helping clients in a way that makes sense for them - it's a mutually agreed upon experience that can be interactive and playful. Going to therapy doesn't mean something is "wrong," and doesn't even have to be about making changes or setting goals. It can be as simple and positive as sitting with a stranger, being heard and gaining insight. My style is eclectic and tailored to my clients' particular needs. I draw on a multitude of influences, primarily psychodynamic, interpersonal and relational.
We all have unconscious beliefs that guide our actions, thoughts, and feelings and therapy can be a wonderful way to understand those beliefs, and figure out if they are useful to us or holding us back. When that happens, my clients see any number of positive things start to occur.
I'm committed to providing a therapeutic environment where I listen carefully and where you are safe and free from judgement. My client-centered goals are to help you make sense of your experiences, increase self-awareness and confidently experiment with new ways of being. Visit my website to get a better sense of my vibe and what our work could look like.
