As your therapist, I firmly believe you know you best. It doesn't always feel that way though. It can be hard to trust and to challenge ourselves. Therapy can help you get to know yourself, get comfortable with your emotions and get curious about your reactions. Together, we can learn from the natural stress responses that you may feel are ruling your world right now, such as anxiety, depression, body tension, numbness, shifts in sleep or appetite, self-sabotaging behaviors, anger or fear. By familiarizing yourself with what and how you feel, you gain a sense of empowerment, because you can better attend to your needs.
My background in narrative therapy, somatic work and trauma/EMDR processing will provide us tools to work towards goals that YOU create. I am person-centered, meaning I will not tell you what to do or what not to do, as it would neither help nor honor you.
I will offer is unconditional positive regard, strength-based challenging, somatic and CBT resources and trauma-informed reflection in a safe space. I love the genuine connections that come with this work. Vulnerability is hard and you are doing a brave thing by being here!
