My work with clients is goal oriented, person centered, and strengths based. I help clients focus on empowering themselves to make informed decisions for their mental health and overall well being. I start where the client is and validate where they are coming from. I help clients identify and improve their strengths, thinking patterns, and coping skills so they can manage their emotions and lives.
My background is in severe mental health and substance abuse. I worked in treatment foster care for over 10 years. I have a specialty in trauma-informed and cognitive behavioral treatments. Mindfulness, meditation, and Reiki energy healing can also be intertwined into client healing journeys if requested.
