Accepting new clients! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) of 12 years at The Core Practice and see clients in both Oregon and South Carolina. I work with clients to address relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and grief. I hold additional certifications as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. I tend to work best with clients who are active participants in their mental health journey and value therapeutic work outside of therapy sessions. Weekend and evening appointments are available.
Attachment colors everything. I use the tenants of emotion-focused therapy (EFT) as a primary model for therapy, which helps us reshape our sense of self, develop secure connections to ourselves and others, and improve emotional balance. We will develop an individualized plan that moves you in the direction of your desired goals and values.
I believe that a good therapist holds a fundamental acceptance and value for each client. All are welcome at The Core Practice, and we can decide together if we are a good fit. My approach is collaborative, engaged, and nonjudgmental, and my hope is to walk with you and get - as Sue Johnson puts it - to the heart of the matter.
