COPE Psychological Center is an outpatient mental health treatment center focused on providing individualized evidence-based treatment for a variety of presenting concerns. We are a generalist treatment center that is able to provide a breadth of services, but our providers have particular specialties in treating trauma, addiction, and general mood disorders (e.g. depression and anxiety) for both individuals, couples, and families. We know how difficult it can be to find the right therapist and to find the right treatment, which is why our goal is to create a safe space where you get both in one place. Our providers are trained and certified in many treatments designed to help meet your needs. We aim to integrate the skills and foundations of these treatments to your personalized needs, so that you can have the skills, tools, and insights necessary for you to move your life in the direction you desire.
We are a mental health clinic that treats depression, trauma, anxiety, and addiction in individuals, couples, and families. Many of our providers also have subspecialties in other areas, such as, insomnia and health anxiety. We utilize skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as third-wave treatments, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other mindfulness based approaches. Our approach is to utilize the first 1-3 sessions to get to know you, your presenting concerns, as well as historical and developmental history. From there, we collaboratively create goals that are rooted in the knowledge gained in the initial sessions as well as a plan on how to get there. Sometimes these goals will be specific and sometimes they will be theme-based. Regardless, we will work together to create a personalized approach suiting your needs.
Our goal is to create a warm, safe space where you are seen, heard, and most importantly, understood. We all have things about ourselves or our lives that we hope to change. Some of those things might be bigger than others, but regardless of the size, we all need a little help and insight from a different perspective to help us get there.

Groups
Improve: Outpatient Substance Use Treatment
IMPROVE is an outpatient substance use treatment program that was developed to help patients meet their substance use recovery goals. IMPROVE is a once per week group, with an aftercare program available upon completion, that focuses on increasing or maintaining motivation as well as learning skills to help manage cravings. A Certificate of Completion will be provided at the end of your participation in the 12-week IMPROVE program. In addition to group programming, individual and family therapy are also services offered as part of the IMPROVE program.
