I provide a lived experience within the therapeutic relationship of complex developmental trauma. I understand firsthand how our experiences from childhood can shape our outlook, behaviors, and access to resources into adulthood. The “symptoms” that arise from these experiences are strategies for survival that we may wish to unlearn or shift when they no longer serve us.
I strive to be equitable in practice and my personal life viewing the world through a trauma-focused anti-oppressive lens. I firmly believe our current systems perpetuate and encourage cycles of violence and I choose to promote harm reduction and restorative practices.
It is a privilege to collaborate with people in rewiring their nervous systems through a human-centered approach and our therapeutic relationship. We might cry, we'll definitely laugh, and most importantly we'll lay the groundwork for safe relational connection.
