Relationships can be difficult and I believe that the relationship we cultivate with ourselves is of utmost importance in the way we communicate with others. Are we accepting and compassionate when we notice mistakes or are we critical and judgmental? By improving our ''inside voices' we can alleviate much of the stress and tension in our lives. When working with individuals, couples, or groups, I remain unbiased and non-judgmental as I attempt to be a "clear mirror" for Self discovery. I believe that "life doesn't happen TO us. It happens FOR us." As an Imago therapist, I enjoy working with couples very much.
I facilitate several Women's Groups and enjoy presenting Weekend Retreats on various topics, including "The Feminine Story," "Healing the Mother/Daughter Relationship," and "Waking Up in the Second Half of Life."
I am a Certified Imago Therapist and view conflict in a relationship as an "opportunity to grow" closer together. I believe that love is a choice as long as the relationship is not destructive and that with learning how to remain in connection while in disagreement, love can grow and the relationship can flourish.
