As a psychologist, my job is to help my patients identify problematic patterns, understand formative relationships, and develop self understanding. The greatest predictor of success in therapy is the therapist-patient relationship and finding a therapist with whom you feel understood and can explore painful issues is crucial. I perform psychoeducational testing in the form of neuropsychological evaluations, assessment of learning disorders (including ADHD), social/emotional evaluations, autism evaluations, and personality assessments to facilitate treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Assessments are individualized in order to develop a greater understanding of each person and how they can expand on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. I also provide therapy, utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques, while being mindful of how early attachment experiences influence later relationships.

Casey Psychological Services is a clinical evaluation, assessment, and psychological testing practice primarily for children and adolescents. She then continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. There she spent many years under the supervision of Dr. Charles Golden refining her skills in Neuropsychology serving a variety of children with learning disorders and developmental disabilities. After completing graduate school, Dr. Avon pursued further training in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities.
