As a marriage and family therapist it is my honor to work with individuals and families to work through hardships and explore ways to not only survive life's trials but to thrive. Many people find themselves seeking therapy during a life transition. Transitions can be extremely challenging, whether it is a change in a relationship, employment, a move or a loss. Navigating a new normal can come with pain and uncertainty. Through our work together we will use a variety of techniques and interventions to explore solutions and assist you in developing skills to find joy again.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist. I specialize in trauma-informed care for children (especially ages birth-6 years old) and adults. My background includes working with children and adults who have experienced various forms of trauma, such as abuse, neglect, loss, and disrupted attachments, as well as supporting children on the autism spectrum. Our outward behaviors and physical manifestations are representative of what we are feeling and thinking. In order to understand the whole person and effect change, I believe it is important to address the underlying reasons for behaviors.

Not accepting new clients at this time - As challenges in life emerge, I'm passionate about supporting adults through the use of a strengths based approach. Together, we will explore and identify the tools and resources necessary to rise above each challenge you are experiencing. We will work on mutually agreed upon goals, drawing on your personal resources of motivation and hope to create long lasting change. My therapeutic style includes a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. I am trained by Post Partum Support international (PSI) and specialize in perinatal mental health.

As an LMSW with seven years of experience in the mental health field, my mission is to offer a space where you, as my client, feel genuinely seen, heard, and free from judgment. Together, we can cultivate a therapeutic relationship that nurtures self-love, introspection, problem-solving, and efficacy, guiding you through life’s complexities with empathy and understanding. With a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Connecticut, my professional journey spans various settings.

I have been providing counseling services to adults, adolescents and children for over 18 years. I am experienced in the area of addictions and mental health and use different counseling techniques based on individual needs of my clients. My goal is to help you bring order and peace back into your life and establish a healthy way of living in which you are happy and focused on becoming the best you can be! My areas of specialty include addictions, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, attachment disorders, divorce and parenting issues.

I have worked with emphasis in Health Psychology and Clinical Psychological interventions to offer support in managing crisis interventions, minimize the effects of Trauma and Childhood Trauma with clients whom have diagnosis of PTSD as other mental health conditions such as Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Addiction, Bipolar, Depression/Anxiety and behavioral problems. I work along with the client to establish collaborative clinical goals that can help the client to identify their short term to long term goals to help address the psychological need of the diverse populations of children, teenagers, adults, veterans and geriatric.

Susan is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has enjoyed working with parents and families for many years. After receiving her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University she continued her clinical work through the Yale Child Study Center IICAPS (Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services) Program. Susan focused on the family system of the clients and collaborated with them in building on their strengths, developing solutions, and honing family skills. Susan took particular interest in supporting parents navigating the stressors of parenting children with special behavioral and emotional needs.

My specialty is providing counseling for individuals navigating fertility, loss, pregnancy, the transition to parenthood, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), and parenting. My approach is client-centered, empathetic, non-judgmental, genuine and solution focused.
