I view counseling as a dynamic process between a client and therapist. My theoretical orientation is dependent upon what would be most appropriate for the client. I view each client as unique and I use techniques that are designed to meet that client's specific needs. I listen carefully to my clients so that I can empower, confront when appropriate, teach, encourage, and guide them so they can grow emotionally, spiritually, psychologically and socially. I respect the clients I work with. I want people to participate in a healing process without fear that they will be judged or coerced.

I also specialize in working with individuals that struggle with addictions, those who have been impacted by trauma and/or crisis, and first responders or members of the military. I have a client-centered therapeutic approach that values gaining insight around the unique experiences and considerations brought to session. Primary modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, solution focused therapy, and trauma-focused modalities.

I offer individual therapy by telehealth video for adults who want to reduce feelings of anxiety and/or depression, and for people who are going through some big challenges in life and want some extra support with the stress. Leslie Miller is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2017. She completed her Undergraduate work at the University at Buffalo for Psychology (major), Counseling (minor) and her Graduate work at Southern New Hampshire University for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Leslie is trained in level 1 EMDR and level 1 trauma informed hypnosis. Outside of work, Leslie enjoys taking her dog Samson on hikes, snuggling with her cat Georgie, reading, poetry, painting, riding her bike on trails, and spending time with her husband exploring Colorado.
