I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in treating clients with trauma, anxiety, and depression. Therapy can help with navigating life transitions, identity, relationship concerns, and family of origin issues. I seek to listen, explore where you've been, and identify current sources of distress. Therapy is not a one size fits all approach and developing an authentic and trusting therapeutic relationship is key. I use both art and talk therapy to treat children, adolescents, adults and families with relational struggles, mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse, life transitions, grief and more. I am an art therapist, often inviting my clients to drop into their body in order to move further from the busy mind. I believe that growth comes from the commitment to the therapeutic process. In family work I specialize in high-conflict divorce and co-parenting. My focus is on helping parents support their children best in the process of divorce and post divorce reality.

Specializing in Teens & Young Adults: However isolated they appear, I hold a strong belief that young adult emotional and behavioral struggles are primarily a reaction to family influences. To fully support this population in reaching their potential, their challenges will need to be looked upon in the context of family, so to identify how such strife continues to be reinforced. This systemic approach to therapy paves the way for greatest insight to be gained by those who really matter, allowing for symptom reduction and ultimately greater relational harmony.

I have spent much of my career working with children and adolescents and their families. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I have worked with children in foster care and within the adoption system.

She received her graduate degree in Counseling & Psychotherapy with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from the Adler Graduate School in Richfield, Minnesota. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), and is certified as a Prepare/Enrich Couples facilitator.

Mariah has worked as an individual and family therapist for over 17 years supporting youth, young adults, and families through transformative therapeutic experiences. Mariah excels at helping people examine the many dimensions of their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. She is known for her attunement and tenacious dedication to the evolving needs of all she works.
