I am a PACT level 2 therapist which is highly useful modality for couples and is backed by neuroscience and attachment.
Are there common themes or patterns coming up in your life that aren’t shifting? Are you hoping to find more meaning or connection in life? Are you struggling/have concerns about your teenager? In my 12 years of experience I offer knowledge and strategies to gain awareness and change for couples, families, and individuals. The environment I provide to my clients is one with openness, safety, and compassion. Therapy with me is a place to become curious and more aware about yourself and your relationships in order to shift the patterns that exist. People seek therapy for different reasons and whatever it is that brings you in, I strive to create a relationship of safety, trust, and curiosity.
With the amount of pressure and expectations that are placed on us on a daily basis, it can be overwhelming to think of what changes will actually make a difference for us. I view psychological distress as alarm bells telling us that our needs are not being met. You may find these alarms going off in multiple areas of life- work, school, relationships, etc. Beyond learning ways to cope with the alarm bells, my goal is to understand what those unmet needs are so that we can turn the alarms off. In my work, I aim to use therapy as a space to slow down and listen to what your symptoms are trying to communicate.

I work with adults, youth, & couples by providing you with the tools you need for healthier relationships, better communication, and more fulfillment.
Romantic struggles are stressful. Conflict with your beloved related to sexuality/intimacy, infidelity, parenting, polyamory etc. can be exhausting. Communication with your family member can feel so frustrating at times. "Getting on the same page" with your partner prior to taking the next step would feel great. Adjusting to parenthood, coping with a difficult transition, or lack of fulfillment can make you feel powerless; you want to feel joy again! I support both adults and youth/teens with anxiety, depression, and trauma/emotional wounds via Brainspotting and other tools. You don't have to face these heavy challenges alone!

I look forward to establishing a collaborative relationship and supporting you in pursuit of your unique goals.
My approach to therapy allows clients the emotional space to examine situations without identifying as the problem themselves. It creates key exploratory distance between self and guilt or shame allowing for curiosity rather than judgment. I strive to elicit an experience that is empowering and illuminating. This is useful if you are seeking resources as a member of a couple or family where fear of blame is a common threat. The parents of my adolescent and young adult clients are relieved to work with someone who sees their unique loved one rather than diagnostics or labels.

Together I work with the client to bring unconscious elements of the psyche into a more balanced relationship and conscious awareness.
Our lives are full of beginnings and endings, of smaller and larger scale. Some changes are difficult to navigate, some we ignore and some we aren't even aware of. Before a new chapter can begin, one must be able to learn how to navigate through the experience and say goodbye. I facilitate opportunities that provide client's clarity and support with moving forward in the direction they desire. Making room for self-acceptance, more joy and deeper connections. I specialize in working with the marginalized and adults who are going through a process of change & growth, and those navigating difficult life transitions.

My desire is to bring care and compassion into the counseling relationship. I believe there is hope in breaking free from pain and fear, ultimately bringing about a life of purpose and joy. I bring with me experience in family relationships, raising children (who are now all adults), and marriage. Life in the military also brings with it the experience of instability and change in family and relationships. I believe each person has their own story to tell and that ultimately, healing is possible.

I also utilize attachment therapy with kids and adults and Gottman couples therapy.
As a seasoned psychotherapist/life coach, I believe in our innate healing potential and guide my clients to unlock their internal wisdom, resilience and resources for healing. Somatic (body-centered), mindfulness-based approaches to holistic coaching and therapy, allow me to integrate my clinical training while tuning into intuition to effectively guide the unfolding healing process of my clients. Trauma-informed, holistic coaching and therapy allows for greater capacity to rewire the brain, which can make the unconscious conscious and shift your automatic reactive patterns and outdated beliefs, helping you to live your best life.

Have you ever felt like traditional talk therapy, while helpful, just doesn't resonate with you? Maybe the idea of sitting in an office with a stranger staring at you makes you feel uncomfortable or even anxious? Perhaps the environment you feel most comfortable in is the outdoors, out under the open space with the natural environment available to you. If any of these scenarios feel like they could potentially be true for you, perhaps equine facilitated psychotherapy could be a therapeutic fit. EFP is an experiential form of therapy which invites equine partners into a transformative relationship between client and therapist.

I use the most researched and successful approach to couples therapy - Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
You feel like you’ve grown apart. It’s almost like you’re living two separate lives - and you used to be so close. Now you argue about the same things over and over again. It's so hard to communicate. It seems like you can’t ever get this person you fell in love with to hear you anymore. You never expected to feel so much pain when you first fell in love. But, you do. And you don’t want to feel it anymore. Neither of you do. You both know something has to change. And you cant wait anymore. It's time to do something.

I have trained in the Gottman Method and Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Brainspotting for trauma and DBT for handling hard emotions.
Therapy is about more than talking, it's about gaining the skills for making changes you need in order to get you to your goals. I am empathetic but straight forward, finding a balance between a client's thoughts, emotions and behaviors. You might be ready to have your behavior change before internal change can occur. You need to be action action oriented and I will be also. I always push clients for change but do so in a way that is enjoyable for all involved. By the end of each session you will have a sense of progress made toward your ultimate goals.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I have a passion for helping others and endeavor my practice to that end. John Donne once said "no man is an island" and I believe that to be true. Relationship issues really seem to be my forte: I enjoy working within that context. I have a soft spot for parents, children with significant social struggles, couples, other therapists. Relationships require hard work and I don't shy away from delving into that work with my clients.

A personal relationship with my clients establishes the best course of treatment for each individual's unique needs.
I have enjoyed working in Colorado Springs as a therapist for the past 20+ years with both individuals and group counseling. We all experience emotional pain, physical pain or a combination of the two at different times in our lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to establish a collaborative effort with my clients to modify beliefs, assumptions and behaviors with the goal of solving emotional and behavioral problems. This approach is helpful for children, adolescents and adults. It is used to treat (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, stress related disorders and symptoms related to trauma.

For 8 years, I worked at a school and community based medical clinic providing psychotherapy to all ages. I have also enjoyed private practice over the years. In each setting I work, including private practice, my therapeutic modality varies, but I always come from a strengths based/empowerment approach. I love somatic (mind/body) based work, as I am also a yoga teacher.
