I’m  committed to helping marriages, families , and individuals learn how to build healthier relationships. My work focuses on targeting ineffective behaviors, habits, and beliefs around relationships through a cognitive behavioral approach mixed with emotionally-focused therapy. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. I have been fortunate to attend a doctoral training program, internship, and postdoctoral residency that were each accredited by the American Psychological Association, which helped ensure a high-caliber training environment, which was also quite varied in settings, approaches, and diagnoses. During our sessions, I will guide, encourage, and teach you. The work you do between sessions will be the most important as you grow and change in profound ways.

At Time for Me, I specialize in difficult family relationships, managing anxiety and depression, healing from trauma, and adjustment to changes. Each client brings their own strengths, experiences and needs and receives individualized care that supports their healthy future. I enjoy working with adults, infants, young children, families, and seniors. I offer EMDR. I do not provide couple's counseling but can help individuals better their relationships. I am accepting new clients.

My specialty is in complex trauma, issues for women, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and adjustment difficulties. Many of my clients seek counseling for unresolved trauma and grief that negatively impacts their functioning and relationships, resulting in dysfunction, anxiety, depression, shame, or codependency. I'm dedicated to helping clients heal from past experiences, rebuild self worth, and find happiness and meaning. I care deeply for working with survivors of suicide and those who have lost a loved one to drug overdose. I enjoy working with clients adjusting to the challenges and changes associated with parenthood.

I work with a wide range of clients and issues, however, the clients that benefit the most from working with me are ones who are looking for a partner in therapy. I believe that every person is the most accurate resource to understanding themselves and their world view. I would like to pair my knowledge about mental health with your lived experience and to help you create your own solutions. Seeking a therapist can be difficult and often anxiety provoking--especially when you are finding a therapist for your child. I have been working with children and their families for many years and have enjoyed helping them meet their therapeutic goals. I work with a certified therapy dog named Gadget who adds to the welcoming and nurturing environment of the office and assists in helping clients reach their goals. I am specially trained in play therapy, EMDR, and family therapy. I work with children 0-12 and their families. I specialize in trauma and attachment to promote healthy, fulfilling relationships.

I view counseling as a dynamic process between a client and therapist. My theoretical orientation is dependent upon what would be most appropriate for the client. I view each client as unique and I use techniques that are designed to meet that client's specific needs. I listen carefully to my clients so that I can empower, confront when appropriate, teach, encourage, and guide them so they can grow emotionally, spiritually, psychologically and socially. I respect the clients I work with. I want people to participate in a healing process without fear that they will be judged or coerced.

Denise A. Rogers Piel, LPC Denise A. Rogers Piel is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 1999. She has an MA in Liberal Studies from Regis University, Psychology. Denise can help a client through counseling to build a working relationship where they can identify their strengths and look at solutions to life issues and mental health challenges. She offers a safe and caring space where they can look at their resilience, options, and strategies to deal with their situation. In her spare time, Denise enjoys reading, cooking, crocheting, gardening, traveling, her faith, and her family.

I am honored and privileged to be able to walk with clients through life's journey. I recognize what a huge step it is to reach out and accept guidance and support. I believe that everyone should have the ability to talk in a space that is safe, encouraging, and unbiased; a place where each client can be themselves, without reservation or worry of judgment. I strive to create that space for my clients. I believe that each of us is capable of getting through life's challenges by prioritizing our mental health and well-being and finding our way to this health is a beautiful journey that I am so happy to be able to help with.

Sheryl Schwartz is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2005. She received her Bachelor's in Psychology in 1993 at Colorado State University Pueblo and worked with at risk youth till she returned to school and obtained her Master of Counseling at Adams State University in 2005. Sheryl spent the next 10 years working in Residential Treatment with youth and their families where she helped developed a Native American program and sexual trafficked youth program.

I believe wholeheartedly in human resilience and have focused my practice on highlighting the strengths of my clients. My goal is not only to teach you new tools but to highlight the resilience and capability you have within yourself to conquer whatever obstacles you may be facing.
