Welcome! My name is Colleen Christie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas. With 29 years of experience, my primary focus of my practice is relationship issues including break-ups, divorce, couples therapy, toxic relationships and even "lack of relationship" issues. I also treat disorders that are frequently the consequences of difficult personal/family relationships including grief, anxiety, poor self-esteem, depression and trauma. I mostly utilize a systems and existential approach to therapy, but use multiple modalities based on the needs of my client.
I like to provide a calm, supportive environment where my clients feel safe to share whatever is important to them. My clients know they will always be accepted, supported and respected without any judgement. As appropriate, I support my clients in setting personal goals, not goals set by others.
My clients can expect a supportive, open, and encouraging environment where time is taken to get to know each client individually and begin where they are.
