My aim is to help others live authentically and unencumbered by shame in a space where all areas of life can be explored. My clients and I work collaboratively to identify patterns, core beliefs, thoughts, and other dynamics that no longer benefit their lives. A connected process within a safe environment creates pathways for therapeutic work, which may include processing trauma, exploring and embracing one's identity, and finding empowerment over thoughts and emotions.

My approach is engaging and is client centered. I do not just sit back and wait for you to tell me how you feel. I want you to develop the understanding and motivation you need to take better care of yourself and be more effective in the world. It is not up to me to tell you how to live your life. Sometimes you need to deal with a difficult situation; sometimes you need to make a change in your life. Whether your issues are situational or chronic, I would like to be given the opportunity to help.

In therapy, we address the struggles we see in our lives in the context of a supportive relationship. Finding someone we trust to share the deepest parts of ourselves, possibly in ways we haven't shared before, paves the way for the most impactful healing work. My hope is to be that supportive and uniquely safe, compassionate person for each of my clients.

My presence in session is steady and intentional. Therapy begins with openness and curiosity so that we may find a space that feels authentic and connected. My approach is humanistic, insight-oriented and integrative. Sessions may combine exploring attachment along with mind-body work, or we may process relationship concerns and their parallels to childhood family dynamics. My clients are often young adults, college students and professionals, however I also work with older teens.

Addressing issues early can save a lifetime of unrelenting patterns. EMDR is highly effective in relieving past traumas that lend themselves to mental health and substance abuse. As a LPC, Addictions Counselor and Certified EMDR practitioner, I am able to address both mental health and addiction issues in a comprehensive manner. I incorporate mind, body and spirit into my work with clients to assist in healing all aspects of the individual. . My goal is to have each and every client leave each session with a sense of relief and satisfaction. I help individuals gain freedom and peace in ways they thought impossible.

I believe a safe environment is key to maneuvering the ups and downs that life presents and that each person is worthy of a healing space. I also believe that with courage and persistence, my clients have inherent strengths and abilities that enable them to be successful in living authentic lives. Many of my clients are young adults and college students, however I also work with teens and older adults. My practice is deeply inclusive and I welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities as well as those from diverse backgrounds of all kinds.
